Today we visited the Blarney Castle and the gardens.  Here are some pictures

Today's excursion includes a visit to a castle. An hour and a half from our cruise port.Conwy Castle

Today we were supposed to visit Dublin. But, this swells were too big and the captain did not want to risk injury to any of the passengers as we were going to have to use tenders to go ashore. So, he decided to make it a sea day.   We spent the day by the pool. It turned out to be a nice day. But I was looking forward to seeing Dublin.

Today, we visit Belfast. The place where the Titanic was built. There is a titanic museum here that claims to be the world's leading tourist attraction in 2016. You can actually step aboard the titanic's little sister, the SS Nomadic or the or the HMS. Caroline. The city play the key role in the 19th century industrial revolution. It was the biggest producer of linen. Today. We go on a motor coach ride around the city and later go to the Ards peninsula and Grey Abbey. Parliament The Queen's University of Belfast Galeleo This afternoon we are headed to the Ards peninsula and the Grey Abbey.

Her first stop on the cruise was Edinburgh. Here we visited the Edinburgh Castle and the surrounding sites. Here's a panorama of the city shot from the top of the castle.

Arrived this morning in Lerwick town on the Shetland Islands.  We went around to see the local scenery. There is a stronger Norse tradition than Scottish   . So, it is like visiting a different country even though it is part of Scotland.   We went to the ancient ruins of Jarlhof. The site covers an extensive time period from 2500 BC to 850 BC when the Norse arrived. 

We started out on our excursion in Inrvergordon where are cruise ship. In a commercial part of the port. On the bus ride to the castle the fields and farms were very picturesque. Once we got to the castle we had to walk down a long path and wants to movie about the history of the castle before returning to the bus for the trip back to the boat. 

We traveled from London to Southampton to board the SS Splendor a Regent cruise around the British isles.  As we travel through the town I expect to see Mrs Bucket to pop out of one of the row houses. Here is are itenetary.  We are going around the islands counterclockwise.  I left out Edinburg, our first stop.
