Valencia Sights

We drove along the Avenida Baleares, past the bullring and central station to take in the main landmarks of Valencia. The museum campus was quite impressive.

At the Square Central Market, we explored the market.

Then we Continued to the Carmen Quarter. Near the City of Arts & Science, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, you will visit the Fallas Museum. 


Nearby, the Torres de Serrano tower on the old City Wall offers a view the Plaza of the Virgin of the Forsaken Basilica.

We visitef the cathedral and enjoy an outside view of the Miguelete Tower before returning to the ship.

Lock Down - day 6

Today, we started scanning old photos from albums that we haven't touched since we got a cell phone or digital camera.  It was kind of fun going through some of the old memories even if we couldn't remember exactly what year they were taken.  Here are a few scanned today. This first batch is from a trip to Hawaii with Bob and Tim Dared to squeeze in the first class 747 Braniff bathroom (me in the middle)  before the infamous slip on the rocks. Condo Princeville OMG how young you look.  Hyatt Maui it rained every day.  Europe, we think this might have been 1983/84 First stop, Paris Museum d'Orsay Then off driving to Switzerland, Wher we will be staying at the Park Viznau on Lake Lucerne. Cruising Around Japan

I didn't keep up with the blog on the trip and didn't post everyday as I promised.  The map shows all the different cities we visited.  At each of the cities, we went on an excursion.  They all offered a greater in depth view of the local areas.   Most of the excursions left the cities and went into the countryside. When we were in Tokyo a couple of days before and after the cruise, we were on our own.  We stayed right downtown and a hotel in the train station.  We got to see most of the city sites using the hop on hop off bus tours.  One day near the hotel the Emperor sent a carriage to pick up some dignitaries staying at our hotel.
