Budva, Kotor & Coastal Views

This excursion showcases the beautiful Montenegrin Riviera, starting with sightseeing in the city of Budva -- center of Montenegrin tourism.

Visit the Old Town, tucked safely and secretly inside walls dating from the 15th century.


You will have some free time in Budva for enjoying a snack (at your own expense) or shopping.


Then we board a motor coach and drove along the coast to Kotor, enjoying the beautiful view of Kotor Bay.


A walking tour takes you through the old medieval Mediterranean town -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit the Cathedral of St Triphon (12th century) and the Maritime Museum. View the Orthodox Church of St Luka from the outside.

Lock Down - day 6

Today, we started scanning old photos from albums that we haven't touched since we got a cell phone or digital camera.  It was kind of fun going through some of the old memories even if we couldn't remember exactly what year they were taken.  Here are a few scanned today. This first batch is from a trip to Hawaii with Bob and Tim Dared to squeeze in the first class 747 Braniff bathroom (me in the middle)  before the infamous slip on the rocks. Condo Princeville OMG how young you look.  Hyatt Maui it rained every day.  Europe, we think this might have been 1983/84 First stop, Paris Museum d'Orsay Then off driving to Switzerland, Wher we will be staying at the Park Viznau on Lake Lucerne. Cruising Around Japan

I didn't keep up with the blog on the trip and didn't post everyday as I promised.  The map shows all the different cities we visited.  At each of the cities, we went on an excursion.  They all offered a greater in depth view of the local areas.   Most of the excursions left the cities and went into the countryside. When we were in Tokyo a couple of days before and after the cruise, we were on our own.  We stayed right downtown and a hotel in the train station.  We got to see most of the city sites using the hop on hop off bus tours.  One day near the hotel the Emperor sent a carriage to pick up some dignitaries staying at our hotel.
