Our first trip after lock down (a road trip)

We finally felt comfortable enough to take a trip.  We have both had our vaccine and everything seemed to feel a little more positive. We decided on a three day road trip.  First we drove to Indianapolis, Indiana a stopping off place on our way to Columbus, Indiana.  Our first stay in a hotel in over a year was a treat. Although considerable different from non-virus days. That evening we had dinner at St. Elmo's at the bar.  We split a steak and several sides. With lot's of chatter with the bartender we had a great time.

After breakfast, at the capital Grill which was off the lobby of the hotel, we headed out for Columbus, to look at some famous architecture and tour the Miller House and gardens.

After that we went to the little town of French Lick with a bunch of history and a really wild hotel.  Dinner there in another steak house at the bar with a chatty bartender waitress, who had worked there for 30 years had lot's of stories.

Finally, we drove to Chicago and stayed at the newly opened Four Seasons hotel. The hotel has had a total lobby renovation with a new restaurant. Chicago looks a lot different with several missing stores up an down Michigan Avenue. It will take Chicago some time to recover.

Below are some photos of the trip.
