Caribbean Cruise on the Norwegian Encore just before the virus shutdown


We dared to go on a cruise on the Norwegian Ecore and when we returned to port they had completely shut down. During the trip, the crew was especially vigilant. They were sanitizing everything constantly.  They would not allow you to serve yourself at the buffets or coffee counter. Even when we went on an excursion, you could see the crew wiping down surfaces on the catamaran that was to take us to fisher island, snorkeling.
Here is the itenarary.

Sun 08-Mar 4:00 pm SHIP DEPARTS MIAMI, FLORIDA, US
Yes, this is us in line to get on the boat. No one had heard of social distancing, then.

Our excursion was canceled so, we spent some time in the bar.














Thu 12-Mar 8:00 am Thu 12-Mar 5:00 pm Dock TORTOLA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS



Fri 13-Mar AT SEA

We ate at the specialty restaurants every night (part of the package). The steak place was our favorite.

















Sat 14-Mar AT SEA  The saving grace of this trip was the Vibe. For an extra $210 ea. we could use the semi-private facility with its own bar and staff.  No Kids allowed.


Sheltered out of the wind on those sea days. 


Sun 15-Mar 7:00 am SHIP ARRIVES AT MIAMI, FLORIDA, US

Another day in Miami and then home to self-quarantine before the lockdown.
